In the spirit of collaboration and hospitality, R.E.A.L Kids Putrajaya recently hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Education Timor Leste as part of the latter’s study visit to Malaysia.
Held on 16 February 2017, the delegation was accompanied by a team from the Ministry of Education Malaysia which was headed by En. Zulkifli Bin Nordin. Meanwhile, the foreign delegates were led by its Inspector General, Hon. Evaristo Maria de Jesus.
Also present during the event was Ms. Rachel Leow, General Manager of R.E.A.L Kids; Ms. Sooria Kunalan, Centre Manager of R.E.A.L Kids Putrajaya; Ms. Carmen Roberts, Principal of the centre; as well as several head office staff of R.E.A.L Education Group.
In her opening speech, Ms. Rachel said, “In an effort to constantly improve our quality of education and achieve greater heights, we need to engage in knowledge sharing, collaborative learning and other similar programmes. R.E.A.L Kids thoroughly supports such initiatives and today’s gathering is a prime example of that”.
“We are here to learn from each other and to adopt the best practices that would ultimately benefit us as educationists, particularly in the area of preschool and early childhood development. At the end of the day, all we want is for our children to have good quality education as it is the foundation for success. This drives us in our ongoing effort to establish preschools in every community,” she continued.
A brief presentation provided the delegates with a brief overview on R.E.A.L Kids which included its history, programmes, educational approach and uniqueness, among others. This was followed by a Q&A session as well as a guided tour and classroom visit. The event ended with refreshments and the host exchanging tokens of appreciation with the special guests.
There is no doubt that such events go a long way in establishing greater collaboration and closer ties between both Malaysia and Timor Leste. As one of the leading preschool education providers in the country, R.E.A.L Kids is well placed to provide some useful insight on the local preschool industry.
