Making Connections

Inter-Disciplinary Learning (IDL)

Knowledge is interconnected and the application of knowledge in real life usually involves various disciplines. A learning experience from one domain should naturally lead on to another learning experience from another domain.

Inter-Disciplinary Learning enables teachers and learners to make connections in their learning through exploring links across the curriculum. It supports the use and application of what has been taught and learned in new and different ways and provides opportunities for deep learning.

Children learn to understand what they learn is connected and directly related to real life experiences.
